LOVE this theme Matt! I was trying to find a direct link to the lanterns, but there are too many to choose from! Go to amazon and search for "Battery operated decorative indoor lanterns". You can filter them down according to your style and budget. The lower priced ones work fine, BUT the frames are ABS NOT metal/wood. We went mid-range, and are quite happy! They range from black, to gold to wood finish at out place. Had them for years now. GREAT investment!

HEAT ! it's chilly here, but not Alaska cold. very traditional weather, almost all the leaves have let go by now. it's quite an adjustment to go from 75F to 45F,
more like 35F. Halloween will be warm for end of October. i have taken my two kids trick or treating when it's been 6 inches of snow and 20F. haha, they got free candy, so it was worth every step, then my daughter would want to wear her costume for the next 6 months ! 4 year old kids are fun crazy

For example, if I only got 3 hours sleep, I won’t start the day with many spoons. Prepping food for my mom for 20 mins will take 1 of my 10 daily spoons, so after food prep, I’d rest for an hour before doing the next task. If I am low on sleep, I usually need to rest before making myself breakfast. Speaking of rest, I hope that you got plenty this weekend. I pray that Zee and I will be able to change the thermocouple ourselves and I pray that nothing else breaks! I pray also for your health!

Hi Matt, how are you? How was your weekend? Thanks for wanting to know more about my research. I actually don’t know that much about Radical Rest, other than what the name suggests, to rest as much as possible and to only do so much at once. I know that pacing and spoons has a lot to do with it. Pacing is breaking down tasks into manageable steps and then resting in between. Spoons is making the abstract concept of energy more concrete and tangible…

Neither of us have much of a desire to travel outside of the US, but we do want to go to Italy! How about you? Have you traveled much?

As far as getting away, we can't go too far like you said because of our careers, but we do travel as far as seven hours away by car. We have been to the redwoods, amusement parks, the gorgeous Monterey Bay Aquarium (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), down to SoCal to visit family as well as do the Hollywood/Bev Hills thing, San Diego, of course the central coast, and as far north as the border. We both have vacation saved up for next spring. We plan to visit relatives in other states.

WE have them set to come on at dusk and they run about six hours, so they shut down by bedtime. I highly recommend them! Plus, if your power goes out, your place will still be nicely illuminated, lol!

Happy Sunday! Glad you are getting into the spirit, despite the lack of kids coming for treats. Like I said, it has declined here too. One thing I love about Tammy is that she goes all out for all holidays. We don't go overboard either, but just enough to create the festive feeling every holiday. As far as lanterns go, we have them all over the house, and not just for Halloween. They are very decorative, and the best part is they are battery operated, and have timers built in.
