I used to love playing this game on the 3DS VC, it was so fun!
Awesome video, dude. This is the Mario I'm nostalgic for. Everything from the original Donkey Kong up until Super Mario RPG. Super Mario 64 really felt like a soft reboot of Mario's character to me.
@FryPizza thank you so much for your response! I love the older mario games because of the amount of experimentation they did with the games. It also felt less sterile compared to the modern iterations
@ZEHNTER That's a great way to describe what I was feeling. Mario lost some of his personality in that sterilization. And yes, those early games feel like they were willing to try anything and everything with Mario and I love them for that, too.
I haven't played much of Super Mario Land 2, but I rememeber enjoying it, thought it was way better than the first
@StarBlitz On youtube I actually got some angry comments from people that didn't like me dunking on the first one (oops)
I think this is my favorite Mario game. I played World a lot more but Land 2 is more charming. Besides, it has Wario (and bunny ears).

@cidoku I still kinda wish that they'd bring Wario back as a villain in a proper mario platformer, Nintendo still tried cool new things back then

DUDE Super Mario Land 2 is one of my favorite games ever. It's crazy how much shit there was in a Gameboy game. I never played it on real hardware, but I've played it through emulators on almost every console I ever had. So many good memories of this game.
